PODSPACE DESIGNPod Space Design is run by Carl Sheridan. Carl brings Pod Space a wealth of design experience particularly in spatial and small space design. Carl spent 6 years designing trailers for CB Transporters as well embarking on his own design adventures with house designs, camper designs, BBQ systems and more. Carl lives and breathes designs .... or coming up with ideas.
THE DESIGN PROCESS WITH Pod Space
STAGE 1 - UNDERSTANDING THE PROJECT & SETTING THE DESIGN FEE
It all starts with a conversation. Carl will get in contact with you, either via or a zoom call. This is simply to get a better understanding of you, your needs and the project that you are looking at embarking on. (If you have a sketch of what you are thinking of, then that's a great start!). Every project is different, and so are it's design requirements, so design fees vary from project to project. Once Carl has his head around the project, he will discuss design costs with you then and there. Once we have verbal approval, we'll flick you an invoice and get the project underway.
STAGE 2 - DESIGN
Stage 2 is conceptualisation - where Carl buries himself in sketches and 3D modelling software to optimise the layout/design, while always looking to balance the output and the manufacturing capabilities and costs. Then, you will receive notification for a catch up to review the design before moving through to stage 3. In the review, Carl will discuss his designs and ball park costs. While it is hard to pin an exact costs on the product at this point, Pod Space will always endeavor to keep you informed with estimates.
STAGE 3 - DEVELOPMENT & PRICING
After reviewing the design with you, Carl will go away and make final changes and have these approved before producing final drawings for our factories to review and price. There may be a bit of back and forward between stages 2 and 3, but that is all part of the design process. Pod Space Design allows for a couple of sets of changes to ensure the final design is exactly what you are after.
STAGE 4 - REVIEW & SIGN THE DOTTED LINE
At this point we will have completed pricing for the sign off design. There may be some jostling of features in the design between Carl and the factories in stage 3 so this is a chance for us all to sit together and put the green tick on the project, sign the T&Cs, make the payment and get your project build underway.
